Complementary Research

Interdisciplinary cooperation has been established with other projects, research teams and centers:

• with the Laboratory for Molecular Genetic and Forensic Research of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Sarajevo, cooperation was established on the platform "One Health" between the laboratories of human and veterinary medicine, and virological studies related to the isolation and sequencing of the SARS CoV-2 viral genome were conducted;

• with Institute of Biomedical Diagnostics and Testing NALAZ;

• with Center for Geospatial Research Sarajevo (GAUSS Center for GIS GAUSS);

• with Department of Social Sciences of ANUBiH on research related to the economic and pedagogical consequences of COVID-19.

Further Research

The project plans research aimed at:

• genetics and biology testing SARS-CoV-2,

• reservoirs and routes of virus transmission,

• pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of the disease,

• immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection,

• methods for molecular and serological diagnostics COVID-19.
